They offered me a pair of their CA-200 headphones to review and I agreed. The CA-200's have an attractive appearance. I tested the black headphones but they are also available as white. The black headphone has a glossy finish. A simple chrome stripe goes around the edge of each earcup while the headband has the RHA logo on either side and a silver stripe running from one end to the other. A consequence of the glossy finish is that the headphones accumulate fingerprints quite easily. The free-floating earcups pivot to give you a close fit and slide up and down the headbandk that enables you to fine-tune the fit to your head and ears. My ears were completely enclosed within the ear cups. The earcups will provide a bit of sound isolation since your ear is enclosed within, but they will not eliminate ambient sound, only reduce it somewhat. The... They are so comforable. The headband size is adjustable and the earcups pivot. They're large, they cover the whole ear, but they are also lightweight. I once had a set of headphones that were so heavy, I got a headache and stiff neck. Comfort is so very important. I could wear these RHA headphones all day.Noise isolation is good. In fact, I can wear them without any music when I want peace and quiet from the din of household noise. Just remember, it's noise isolation, not noise cancellation. It physically blocks the noise through the construction of the earcups. There is no low level hum. Can I still hear the washing machine? Yes, but it's much quieter. The cord is braided (very classy) and detachable. The plugs are color-coded for the left and right earcups. Look for the label on the inner part of the headband (thanks Daniel Lebryk!). The ear cups pivot and adjust to the location of your ears and the different nuances of your facial shape for a nice comfortable fit.The cable, which goes to each ear cup, detaches for storage and it is enclosed in a braided sheath to prevent tangles. The cables also feature nice stain reliefs at critical points to protect the wires and help to prevent breakage. The phono jacks are gold plated for a low resistance and corrosion free connections to your stereo device and the headphones. This helps to provide a long lasting life. The plugs that go into the headset are color coded by a red band on the plug for right ear cup and a black band for the left ear cup. On the inside of the headband there is a label that indicates that the red plug is for the right ear. This is not mentioned in the instructions or on the box and it is difficult to see this.
