It's all but impossible, I think, not to draw direct comparisons to Beats Studio by Dr. Dre. The STREET by 50 both benefit and suffer as the result of such a comparison. Audio Quality (Advantage STREET): Where STREET may lack some of the skull-shaking mid-bass as the Beats, many will see this as an ultimate positive insofar as the trade-off is better reproductive accuracy and clarity. While few will be left wanting in terms of bass, STREET certainly delivers on this front, it seems clear that SMS Audio and 50 were acutely aware of one of the biggest knocks on the 'granddaddy' of this music mogul-inspired/endorsed headphones arena, and sought to directly address it. Just got them today and can say I'm impressed with two features the colors black and blue go great( Carolina Panther Fan). Next is the no slip grip that these headphones have compared to my Beats. I looked around for reviews to see if they're worth buying and had read mixed ones all over the place. You can never tell if the company was writing them or a rival one was. Ok so if you care about the packaging wow than these headphones are too manly for you. They have great comfort around my ears and love the mids and trebles. In that category they are better than the beats, but as far as the bass which I love that category goes to the beats. They vibrate my drum. Which is what I look for I'm a bass head. They also don't fold up and 50 may have the money to twist and bend to prove it won't break but I don't and wouldn't advise doing that. All and all a good product I'll be rocking them at the gym and stuff bringing them more publicity and free... The first thing I noticed about the SMS Audio Street headphones is just how comfortable they are in comparison to several other brands of over-the-ear headphones I've owned over the years. That's not to say that I can wear them for extended periods of time, however, as they still become a bit "tight" after 45 minutes or so. That is probably because I tend to wear these particular headphones a little tighter than I normally would in trying to minimize outside noise and distraction. It should be noted that these headphones do not come with battery-powered noise cancellation. That's not a problem in relatively quiet environments but can be one while traveling, etc.I particularly liked the flexibility of the cable provided by SMS and appreciate that it is not one of those that tend to get twisted into knots the way the old fashioned telephone cords used to do.
